Data Center and Critical Facility: Anti-Terrorism Gate 'Guardian Gate'
Industry first! Achieving counter-terrorism measures with a sliding gate system only.
In recent years, cars have been used as weapons in terrorist attacks, with incidents of vehicles crashing into the gates of important facilities occurring frequently on an international scale. In Japan, there have also been incidents where cars have broken through gates to invade facilities such as airports and schools, indicating that car terrorism can now happen within the country as well. Our company believes that future gates need to enhance basic safety measures with "anti-terrorism measures" to protect human lives. Therefore, we have developed the "Guardian Gate," which has improved impact resistance compared to standard gates. With a sliding gate design that meets the highest strength level, it corresponds to the U.S. new standard ASTM impact criteria (M30P2). It is highly reliable as a regular gate and possesses impact resistance similar to that of bollards, capable of preventing the intrusion of vehicles and people with just one unit. Additionally, our product features easy operation for opening and closing, which is its greatest characteristic, allowing for a simple manual switch during power outages to maintain its functionality. The price is targeted to be about half that of a bollard. This new gate not only allows for the installation of new gates at important facilities but also enables replacements for existing gates, contributing to enhanced security. (Other local surveys are required for installation.)
